Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed how popular alternative milks are. Oat milk, rice milk, hemp milk, almond milk, cashew milk. Seems like there’s a milk for every nut and grain out there. And of course along with the trendy status comes the trendy price tag, especially when you shop at a fancy health food store.

Unlike commercial milks that are watery and contain life-prolonging additives, homemade almond milk actually tastes creamy, you know exactly what’s gone in and it’s infinitely more delicious. What’s more, it’s incredibly easy to make and cheap as chips! Use it as you would dairy milk; in cereal, coffee, smoothies etc.

All you need to make this are a blender, strainer and cheesecloth.
