Maki Oh at NYFW 

On Wednesday, Nigerian designer Maki Oh showcased her AW 17 collection at New York Fashion Week. According to Maya Singer of, the colors, textures, and patterns of Lagos were likewise represented in this collection, with generous helpings of both signature Maki Oh adire prints and slick leather and sparkly metallics that were new to her brand vocabulary. Disabled models made their debut on the London Fashion Week catwalk last Friday – “about time”, as one campaigner put it. Another model said ‘I want people to see me, and to realize that there needs to be more disabled models walking the runway.’ For more, click here

London Modest Fashion Week
