Designers Protest With White Bandanas at NYFW

Designers like Prabal Gurung, Tommy Hilfiger, Thakoon, Phillip Lim, and Diane von Furstenberg have joined the “Business of Fashion” to support their #TiedTogether movement.  BoF’s founder and Editor-in-Chief, Imran Amed stated “… The Business of Fashion invites the fashion industry to stand together and make a clear statement of solidarity, unity, and inclusiveness. According to a 2013 study from the Danish Fashion Institute, the fashion industry is the second-most polluting industry in the world, second only to oil. In order to protect the world from more pollution, this startup is making its bags out of paper. Sports Illustrated to Feature Plus Sized and Non-Models

Sports Illustrated Magazine is breaking boundaries by featuring non-models of different ages, races, and body types for the first time. The campaign labeled, “Every Body, Every Age, Every Beautiful,” was shot in Puerto Rico and the ladies featured are all wearing Ashley Graham x Swimsuits For All styles. Graham chatted with Elle about the campaign, stating, “I know that women want to see what they really look like. To a degree, models can be fantasy. I really wanted to showcase what women of different sizes and ages look like in my swimsuits and we all look flawless.” For more, click here
