After a brilliant spell spanning 14 years, Alber Elbaz was discharged from his position as creative director of the French fashion house Lanvin. The Israeli designer stated that his unexpected departure was “the decision of the company’s majority shareholders” , referring to the owner of Lanvin, Shaw-Lan Wang. It is reported that Lanvin Employees are protesting over the dismal of their creative leader which comes as no surprise as Elbaz has been hailed all over fashion for his kindness and generosity. Instagram’s favourite curvy model Gigi Hadid has been confirmed as one of the 10 new Angels to be featured in this year’s Victoria’s Secret show. The lingerie retailer shared the news with an Instagram video showing the model’s audition. Although Gigi has appeared in Victoria’s Secret Pink, this will be her lingerie debut.
